Prior to establishing Wilshire Phoenix, Bill served for 10+ years at BNY Mellon in numerous roles across several global teams, most recently as Vice President of Dealing and Trading where he effectively managed a credit risk portfolio of over $10BB. Additionally, Bill led in the successful closing of 125+ transactions, collectively exceeding $50BB in new issuances. Throughout his tenure, he was honored with multiple awards and accolades for his contributions and achievements. Bill completed undergraduate studies at Clarion University of Pennsylvania and graduate studies at New York University.

In addition to his responsibilities at Wilshire Phoenix, Bill is the Director of New York for the Hedge Fund Association (HFA) and proudly serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS).

Mason is a Partner of Wilshire Phoenix and is the Head of its Asset Management Group. He has over 25 years of experience in the hedge fund industry and capital management. Mason began his career at Granite Capital as an Equities Analyst and Trader, before leaving as the Head of Granite’s Trading in 2000 to join Ramius Capital Group (RCG). As Managing Director at RCG, Mason built the Hedged Equity group, managing more than a billion of gross invested capital at its peak. In 2010, Mason, with two other original RCG members, founded Ballast Capital, LP, and guided it through a successful seed round led by Investcorp. From Ballast, Mason went on to numerous consulting appointments, including Ambi Advisors and wealth management with The Healy Group. Mason is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College with a B.A in Economics and International Relations. Mason has also obtained the Series 7, 56, 63 and 65 Licenses.

Before joining Wilshire Phoenix, Will was a trader at JPMorgan for over ten years, managing billion-dollar risk portfolios across different asset classes including credit, equities, and most recently in commodity futures. In addition to his trading responsibilities, Will managed teams, oversaw projects, and had extensive experience with regulatory and legal matters in structured products.

Will graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and holds a Master of Science in Mathematics in Finance from New York University.

Garrette David Victory Furo, CAIA

Partner

Garrette David Victory Furo, CAIA is a Partner of Wilshire Phoenix. Garrette is an early adopter of digital assets and decentralization who specializes in financial products and financial technology related to blockchain technology. Garrette has supported the public, and private sector on related matters and his clients have included mature ventures, bulge-bracket banks, and family offices. Previous to his tenure in the digital asset space, Garrette was a neurobiology researcher at Columbia University Medical School where he investigated autism and neurodevelopment related to the GI system. Garrette holds a molecular biology and alternative investments dual degree from Hampshire College and is a recognized member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) association.

Garrette David Victory Furo, CAIA, is a Partner of Wilshire Phoenix. Garrette is an early adopter of cryptocurrencies who specializes in financial products and financial technology related to blockchain technology. Mr. Furo has supported the public and private sector on related matters including mature ventures, bulge-bracket banks and family offices. Previous to his tenure in the digital asset space via his consultancy, Liechtquanta, Garrette was a neurobiology researcher at Columbia University Medical School.

Garrette holds a molecular biology and alternative investments dual degree from Hampshire College and is a recognized member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) association.

Harlan Milkove

Harlan is a repeat VC-backed startup founder with experience as a product manager and CTO. He has led initiatives across several ventures to launch flagship products by successfully leading numerous cross-functional teams. Harlan previously co-founded, Reonomy, which is an industry-standard research platform used by commercial real estate lenders, developers, and investors. He has also been a founding member of many firms in the blockchain, IoT, and on-demand labor verticals. Harlan began his career at FactSet, where he led a team of engineers in the Market Data division. In addition, Harlan is the creator of the Traction Science startup development framework, as well as a practitioner of the Design Thinking and Lean Startup product development paradigms. Harlan graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

He has developed custom trading systems, indicators, and strategies for equities and options using various technical and fundamental inputs. Dan specializes in Relative Market Strength, Trend-Following, and Multi-Leg Options trading techniques. As an engineer by training, Dan has worked with many major corporations in the roles of automation engineer, C/C++ programmer, and project manager. Since 2009, he has started-up and managed two successful engineering businesses serving top industrial, pharmaceutical, and medical device manufacturing companies. Dan is a graduate of the University of Dayton with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.

Alexander Chang is a Partner of Wilshire Phoenix and has built his career on sophisticated financial instrumentation. Before joining Wilshire Phoenix, Alexander was employed at J.P. Morgan for 8+ years. He most recently served as a Vice President, during which time he structured both linear and non-linear equity as well as cross asset derivative transactions for a global institutional investor base. The underlying exposure merged a broad spectrum of proprietary quantitative strategies.

Alexander is a graduate of Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics. Alexander also holds each of the Series 7, 55 and 63 Licenses
